Once a child is around 30-months old and has gained confidence with bathroom use - perhaps not totally settled, but making it to the toilet more often than not - he/she is ready to move to our Explorers room. Our Explorer program is designed to bridge the gap between when toddlers are ready for more socially, mentally, and physically, but aren't quite academically and fully developmentally ready for a Preschool curriculum. We maintain a variety of centers and activities in the classroom to engage children just where they are at, developmentally and academically. Younger children tend to be more interested in play; as they age, their curiosity and creativity broadens, and we are ready to feed their interests. Our trained early childhood educators engage with each student and channel their energy and curiosity into varied learning experiences year round, with a focus on social skills, cooperative activities, and preparation for the next level of learning. As with our Toddler program, the Explorer program provides a nurturing Christian environment that ensures each of our young ones knows they are God's own unique child, special and loved. They hear that God loves us so much He sent His Son Jesus into the world for us, making us all His brothers and sisters in God's family. Explorers learn that we love and help each other because God first loved us, and helps us every day.
